noteveryonewantsaniphone.com

possibly the most over-hyped product in the Universe!

tah dah!

it remains… a phone.

you can’t put third party apps on it, you can’t feed the hungry or clothe the poor.

Google Shenanigans 1.2

Written by admin on June 22, 2007 – 9:58 pm -

Seems like the uber-nerds at Google are up to some new shenanigans. Their latest target in their “don’t be too evil” global campaign is destroying copyright and censorship on their public policy blog.  I say go for it.  They have the money to shake things up, instead of buying totally useless companies (viz. Dodgeball, wtf?!?).  Let’s hope they do stir things up a little bit.  Meanwhile they are taking pictures of us in our underwear and putting them on the Internet.  Timely, especially since they are on this anti-IP/censorship kick.  Look, if they want to put pictures of me in my y-fronts online, god bless ‘em.

Greasing the Gears. Google’s new Gears project is perfect for Greasemonkey. I wonder when someone will grease the gears.

“helicopter Cincinnati”

Written by admin on June 6, 2007 – 7:59 am -

I was just listening to a google talk entitled “from text to meaning” and they mentioned to using the string “helicopter Cincinnati” to eliminate bad query data.  Any ideas why?
