Launch.
Written by admin on January 19, 2007 – 8:43 pm -I just returned from the Microsoft Vista Developer’s Launch. It was actually a little sad. They are a second-rate company flogging third-rate software. There is a sense of sick desperation in the way they operate. The place is swarming with contractors and you can feel the bullshit ooze out of them when they talk about their new open standards (openxml). The keynote speaker said something like “It’s a great time to be a developer, isn’t it? Isn’t it? Guys?” Should have been followed with “Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?” *tap* *tap*
He was trying so incredibly hard.
So what was the money shot in the keynote, a 3d map of the London Underground.
Uh…
Not exactly breaking ground with that are we?

Apparently they hadn’t heard of AJAX or WSDL, cuz they went ahead and re-invented it…
